NFTs 101
A step-by-step guide on how to mint a MusicFund NFT
1. Set up your MetaMask wallet
Step 1: Set up your MetaMask wallet
You'll need a MetaMask wallet in order to mint an NFT and interact with the Ethereum blockchain. To get started, go to and click "Install MetaMask for Chrome." During the setup process, MetaMask will ask you to write down your seed phrase—do not skip this step! You'll need your seed phrase if you ever get locked out of your wallet.
2. Add ETH to your wallet
Step 2: Add ETH to your wallet
To mint an NFT, you'll need to have ETH in your wallet to cover the cost of minting + gas. Not familiar with Ethereum gas? Check out this article for an explainer. As the price of gas is variable, we always recommend transferring a little extra ETH to be safe. You can either transfer ETH to MetaMask from a Coinbase account or purchase it directly in your MetaMask wallet by clicking "Buy"
3. Mint your first NFT
Step 3: Mint your first NFT
With your wallet set up & funded, you're now ready to mint an NFT! First, connect your wallet to our site via the "Connect" button at the top—a small prompt will pop up asking you to establish the connection.

After connecting your wallet to MusicFund, head over to our mint page, enter the number of NFTs you want to purchase, and click mint! Another prompt will pop up asking you to complete the transaction. Once the transaction finishes, you'll be able to view your new NFTs on OpenSea!
